Man Injured in Shooting Near Peliyagoda Fisheries Complex

COLOMBO (News 1st); A man was injured in a shooting incident near the Peliyagoda Fisheries Complex.
Police said the shots were fired by gunmen who arrived on a motorcycle.
The injured person is reported to be an employee of the fisheries complex and has been admitted to hospital.
Police suspect that a T-56 assault rifle was used in the shooting.
Police confirmed that several teams have been deployed to investigate the incident.
