Train Operations On Coastal Line To Resume On One Track By Noon

COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka Railways says train operations on one track of the coastal line will resume by 12 noon today.

Railways General Manager Ravindra Padmapriya says that the Galu Kumari train, which derailed near the Gintota Railway Station last afternoon, has now been cleared.

Until the line is fully restored, trains from Colombo to Galle will operate only up to Boossa or Hikkaduwa stations, while trains from Beliatta will terminate at the Galle railway station.
