COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka has been officially selected to host the 78th session of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) South-East Asia Regional Committee Meeting, scheduled to take place from October 13 to 15, 2025, according to Cabinet Spokesperson and Health Minister (Dr.) Nalinda Jayatissa.
The high-level conference will bring together health ministers and senior officials from 11 member countries, alongside representatives from the WHO Secretariat, United Nations agencies, development partners, and non-governmental organizations.
The event will be held in Colombo and is expected to be one of the most significant health policy gatherings in the region.
