IGP Removal Vote Scheduled for This Week in Parliament

COLOMBO (News 1st): The parliamentary debate on the motion to remove Deshabandu Tennakoon from the post of Inspector General of Police (IGP) is scheduled to take place the day after tomorrow, August 5.
Parliament will convene at 9:30 a.m. under the chairmanship of the Speaker, with a vote on the motion expected later that afternoon.
In addition, Parliament is set to meet on August 6 and 7. The debate on the second reading of the Electricity (Amendment) Bill is scheduled for August 6.
