Three Wild Elephants Found Dead Inside Forest Reserve

COLOMBO (News 1st); The remains of three wild elephants were discovered within the Digampathaha Reserve, located in Dambulla.

According to Wildlife Director General Ranjan Marasinghe, the elephants are believed to have died several days ago. The carcasses were found in three separate but nearby locations within the protected area.

Wildlife officers reported that one of the elephants was approximately 40 years old, while the other two were younger, aged around 16 and 15 years respectively.
