Rs. 31 Million Worth of Kush Seized at Katunayake Airport

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Customs officials at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) arrested a 48-year-old Sri Lankan national for attempting to smuggle 3 kilograms and 114 grams of Kush cannabis into the country.

The suspect had arrived from Bangkok, Thailand, and the narcotics were discovered concealed in his luggage during a routine inspection early this morning.

According to Customs, the estimated street value of the seized drugs is Rs. 31.17 million. 

The suspect is a resident of Mattakkuliya, and further investigations are underway.
