Shani Abeysekara to be reappointed as CID director

COLOMBO (News 1st) -Acting Inspector General of Police, Attorney Priyantha Weerasooriya has received approval from the National Police Commission for his request to reappoint Senior Superintendent of Police Shani Abeysekera as the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department.

A senior official of the Police Commission told News 1st that the official letter regarding this appointment will be sent to Police Headquarters today.
