COLOMBO (News 1st); Former Minister Duminda Dissanayake and two women have been further remanded until July 7 in connection with the discovery of a gold-painted T-56 assault rifle at the entrance of a luxury housing complex in the Wellawatte-Havelock area.
The case was heard today before Mount Lavinia Magistrate Chathurika de Silva.
While Dissanayake and the two women remain in remand custody, the court released Dissanayake’s cook, citing insufficient evidence to formally charge him in relation to the incident.
