Minimum Wage, Budget Relief Bills Scheduled in Parliament

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka’s Parliament is scheduled to convene today at 9:30 AM, presided over by Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne.

The session will focus on the second reading debate of two key legislative proposals:

The National Minimum Wage (Amendment) Bill
The Budgetary Relief Allowance of Workers (Amendment) Bill

These bills were initially presented to Parliament for their first reading on June 3, and aim to address pressing concerns related to worker compensation and economic relief.
