Court Orders Probe into Online Hate Against AKD

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court has ordered the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to launch a formal investigation into the circulation of allegedly false, hateful, and inflammatory content online concerning President Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s recent official visit to Germany.

Chief Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali Jayathunga issued the directive after reviewing a complaint filed by G. Subhash Chaminda Roshan, an Additional Secretary to the President’s Office.
