Registration for Israeli Jobs Halted

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Israeli Employment Service has suspended the registration of Sri Lankan workers for jobs in Israel until further notice.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism announced that, as a result, the departure of Sri Lankans to Israel is temporarily suspended.

The statement said that the closure of the Israeli international airport due to the ongoing hostilities contributed to the situation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism announced that the deployment of workers for employment in Israel will be carried out in the future based on notifications from the Israeli Population and Immigration Authority.
