The conflict between Iran and Israel has entered its fifth day today, with air raid sirens sounding in Tel Aviv shortly after midnight as Iran launched additional missiles toward Israel.
An Israeli strike hit Iran's state broadcaster yesterday with Israel confirming the attack.
Israel's military said the building also served as a communications centre used by Iran’s armed forces.
Meanwhile, according to a US State Department Correspondent, US President Donald Trump has veered from a full-throated support for Israel's strikes on Iran, though he has stated as recently as an hour ago that Iran should have signed a deal with the US and that residents in Tehran must evacuate "immediately".
Trump also issued an ominous warning, telling Iranians to “immediately evacuate” their capital city on a social media post.
The president wrote on Truth Social that “Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!” , without saying why.
His comments came after Israeli officials advised residents to evacuate parts of north-eastern Tehran earlier today, saying it planned to target "military infrastructure".
In his post, Trump added that Iran should have signed the deal that he put forward to them in the most recent round of US-Iran nuclear talks.
He added, "Simply stated, Iran Can Not Have a Nuclear Weapon. I said it over and over again!"
However, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that the attacks are "fully coordinated" with the US.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has further confirmed that the US President will also leave the G7 summit in Canada early "so he can attend to many important matters,"
"Because of what’s going on in the Middle East, President Trump will be leaving tonight after dinner with Heads of State," Leavitt wrote in a post on X.
Additionally, US President Donald Trump has requested the National Security Council to convene in the Situation Room.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military said it has identified missiles from Iran en route to Israel and is working to “intercept the threat”.
Israel’s public has been warned to enter “protected spaces” immediately on hearing air attack sirens and remain in place until receiving further instructions from the Home Front Command.
The official IRNA news agency says the country’s airspace will remain closed until 2:00pm local time today.
On the other hand, the latest attack by Israel on Iran came after the Israeli military said it had identified missiles launched towards it.
According to Iran's health ministry, at least 224 people have been killed by Israeli strikes since Friday; the number killed in Israel rose to 24 earlier.
