Four Sri Lankans Injured Amid Ongoing Israel-Iran Conflict

COLOMBO (News 1st): The number of Sri Lankans injured in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran has risen to four.

Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Israel, Nimal Bandara, confirmed that one of the injured individuals, a man from Akuressa, sustained leg injuries during a missile attack early this morning. However, authorities have stated that his condition is not critical.

He has been admitted for medical treatment, and his condition is being closely monitored.

The missile strike is reported to have occurred during an Iranian attack targeting the cities of Tehran and Haifa.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that special attention is being given to requests from Sri Lankan migrant workers in Israel and Iran who wish to return home.

Despite airspace restrictions, travel to and from Israel remains possible via Jordan and Egypt.
