10-Hour Water Cut For Wattala, Ja-Ela & More

COLOMBO (News 1st); The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced a 10-hour water cut affecting several areas, including Peliyagoda, starting from 8:30 AM on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.

The temporary suspension of water supply is due to the integration and upgrade of the solar power system at the Biyagama Water Treatment Plant, which is being connected to the main grid as part of an infrastructure enhancement initiative.

The Pradeshiya Sabha areas of Kelaniya, Wattala, Biyagama, Mahara, Dompe, Ja-Ela, Katana, and Minuwangoda, as well as the Gampaha region will be affected.
