COLOMBO (News 1st); The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has issued a firm directive requiring all individuals mandated under the Anti-Corruption Act No. 09 of 2023 to submit their asset and liability declarations by June 30, 2025.
According to the Commission, heads of institutions must submit a comprehensive list of individuals who have complied—and those who have not—by July 1, 2025.
The Commission emphasized that all individuals named under the Act must submit their declarations by May 31, 2025, detailing their assets and liabilities as of that date.
The relevant Gazette notification, circular, digital forms, and submission guidelines are available on the official CIABOC website.
Declarations must be submitted through the respective heads of institutions, who are responsible for forwarding them to the Commission in accordance with the provided instructions.
Failure to submit the annual declaration by the June 30 deadline will result in legal action under Section 90 of the Anti-Corruption Act, the Commission warned.
