2,500 Public Health Inspectors Deployed to Monitor Vesak Dansals Across the Island

COLOMBO (News 1st): In view of the Vesak Poya, a team of 2,500 public health inspectors has been deployed to inspect food safety and hygiene standards at dansals, operating across the country.

Sri Lanka Public Health Inspectors’ Association said that a total of 8,894 dansals have been officially registered islandwide.

The association added that 8 of these dansals were shut down due to failing to meet basic health and safety standards, while 17 others were issued warnings and advised on necessary improvements.
