Vauxhall Street Fire Contained After Massive Operation

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A fire that broke out at a commercial establishment on Vauxhall Street in Colombo was extinguished after a 12-hour operation.

According to police, six people, including four fire service personnel, were injured. Two individuals were hospitalized due to smoke inhalation, while fire service personnel sustained injuries.

15 fire trucks and 56 fire service personnel were involved in the operation.

The fire, which initially broke out at the electronics warehouse, later spread to a nearby restaurant. Police confirmed that both buildings sustained severe damage.
