COLOMBO (News 1st) - Five more students from the Faculty of Technology at Sabaragamuwa University have been suspended from classes in connection with a ragging (hazing) incident.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Sunil Shantha said that the suspensions were related to a reported case of ragging that took place prior to the death of a student from the same faculty.
He added that the decision was based on findings from a five-member committee appointed to investigate the student’s death.
