T56 firearm and ammunition found in Matale

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A T56 firearm and two magazines of ammunition were recovered from the Sudu Ganga Reserve in Matale.
The discovery was made during a search operation conducted by officers of the Matale Police.
The weapon and ammunition were found hidden inside a suitcase.
The operation was carried out as part of the ongoing island-wide crackdown on crime and drugs.
