COLOMBO (News 1st): President Anura Kumara Dissanayaka says that every citizen of Sri Lanka must take responsibility for their duties towards the country.
He emphasized that if citizens fail to fulfill their responsibilities, it will lead to a negative impact on the entire society.
The President expressed these views attending the inauguration of the Clean Sri Lanka National Program.
The ceremony, which took place this morning at the President's Office, commenced with the President hoisting the national flag.
Following this, the Clean Sri Lanka website, which is "www.cleansrilanka.gov.lk" was unveiled.
In his speech, the President added that the Clean Sri Lanka program, which will cover every sector of the country, is aimed at rebuilding a fractured nation.
The Clean Sri Lanka pledge was then administered by all attendees at the ceremony.
This ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, other ministers, and government officials.
