COLOMBO (News 1st); A delegation of 120 Indian Armed Forces personnel arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport for a three-day cultural visit.
The delegation will explore various locations in and around Nuwara Eliya.
Simultaneously, the same aircraft departed with 120 Sri Lankan defence personnel who will visit Bodh Gaya in India.
In related news, the Indian Minister of External Affairs, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, will undertake an official visit to Sri Lanka on October 4, 2024.
During his visit, Dr. Jaishankar is scheduled to pay courtesy calls on President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya.
Additionally, he and his delegation will meet with Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Minister Jaishankar will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of External Affairs of India.
