Global Observers in Sri Lanka to Oversee Presidential Election

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Election Commission will meet with various election observation teams to discuss the upcoming presidential election.
Chairman of the Election Commission R.M.A.L. Ratnayake said that international observation groups, including a delegation from the Commonwealth, will be part of these discussions.
In addition, observation teams from several Asian countries are set to arrive in Sri Lanka tomorrow to observe the election process.
He said that a total of ten teams will be in Sri Lanka to ensure a fair and transparent election.
