COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Galle Literary Festival has announced a stellar cast of authors for its 12th edition, set to take place from February 6-9, 2025.
The festival will feature a diverse range of international and local literary luminaries, promising a vibrant celebration of words and ideas.
Among the confirmed speakers are International Booker Prize winners Jenny Erpenbeck and Michael Hofmann, alongside bestselling authors Afua Hirsch and Sathnam Sanghera. British broadcaster Louise Minchin, mythologist Devdutt Pattanaik, and novelist Kate Mosse are also set to grace the festival with their presence.
In addition to literary giants, the festival will host a variety of speakers, including food writer Ravinder Bhogal, and comedian Sashi Perera. The event promises a rich and engaging program featuring discussions, workshops, and performances.
The Galle Literary Festival has become a cornerstone of Sri Lanka’s cultural landscape, attracting both local and international audiences. The event celebrates literature, arts, and the spirit of the historic Galle Fort.
