SLFP Decides To Back Ranil For President

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Central Committee of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party had met with President Ranil Wickremesinghe earlier this evening, and expressed their unwavering support for his victory in the forthcoming presidential election.

This was officially announced by the President's Media Division.

The SLFP met with the President, after a meeting among the party's Central Committee, Politburo and Executive Council.

A delegation of Sri Lanka Freedom Party representatives, led by Nimal Siripala de Silva, convened with the President to deliberate on a proposal expressing their support.

This move follows decisions made during meetings of the party’s Central Committee, Politburo, and Executive Council earlier today.

The party’s Secretary General presented a letter from Ranil Wickramasinghe, seeking support for the upcoming presidential election. During the meeting, attendees shared their perspectives on this matter.
