Applications for Grade Five Scholarship Examination open from today

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Department of Examinations announced that online applications for the Grade Five Scholarship Examination for the academic year 2024 will be open from today until June 14th.

Commissioner General of Examinations. Amit Jayasundara further announced that online registration closes at midnight on June 14th, and the deadline will not be extended under any circumstances.

According to the Commissioner General, only students enrolled in Grade five at a government or government-approved school are eligible to take the Grade five Scholarship Exam.

In addition to the exam, Commissioner General highlighted that bursaries will be available for students from low-income families who turn 11 by January 31, 2025.

Commissioner General further clarified that specific instructions for students with special needs are included in the application guide.

The 2024 Grade five Scholarship Examination will take place on Sunday, September 15th.
