Over 61,000 complaints on Power Outages within a Week

COLOMBO (News 1st) - CEB has received over 61,000 complaints regarding electricity breakdowns during the past 6 days.

Over 467,500 electricity consumers had experienced power outages during the last six days (May 21-26) out of which power supply to about 425,500 consumers was restored as at 2.00pm today.

According to the CEB 26,700 complaints lodged at the CEB have been addressed.

The CEB said that they are working around the clock to restore power to all affected consumers.
