Injunction Prevents Fonseka's Suspension from SJB

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Colombo District Court issued an injunction today, temporarily preventing the suspension of Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka from his positions and party membership in the Samagi Jana Balawega (SJB).

The order comes in response to a petition filed by Fonseka himself. The injunction will remain in effect for 14 days, during which time the court will consider the merits of the petition.

The petition names SJB leader Sajith Premadasa, General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara, National Organizer Tissa Attanayake, and Treasurer Harsha De Silva as respondents.
