IMF Staff To Arrive In Sri Lanka To Assess Economic Progress

COLOMBO (News 1st); An International Monetary Fund staff visit to Colombo is scheduled from 11th to the 19th of January 2024, confirmed a spokesperson for the IMF.

The spokesperson said that the goal is to discuss recent economic developments and follow-up on upcoming program targets and commitments. 

The Sri Lanka Ministry of Finance confirmed the visit. 

Furthermore, the Ministry revealed that the IMF representatives have expressed interest in holding discussions with key officials, including the President, Prime Minister, Finance Minister, and Central Bank authorities.
