CEB employees protest for second day

COLOMBO (News 1st); The protest launched by Ceylon Electricity Board workers against the the controversial Sri Lanka Electricity Bill, a proposed legislation that seeks to restructure the state-owned Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), is ongoing for the second day on Thursday (04).

The protest was held opposite the main office of the CEB.

Convenor of the CEB Joint Trade Union Alliance Ranjan Jayalal said attempts are being made to separate the CEB into 12 entities to be sold, through the proposed bill.
