Operation Yukthiya Nets 1,676 Suspects in 24 Hours!

1,676 suspects were arrested in the past 24 hours ending at 12.30 am today during Sri Lanka's ongoing "Operation Yukthiya".

This targeted operation aims to crack down on drug trafficking and organized crimes in the country.

Among the arrested, 119 suspects are currently detained for further investigation.

Assets of 45 suspects are being investigated for potential illegality.

112 drug addicts were directed to rehabilitation centres.

Police also arrested 132 individuals already listed as suspects by the Narcotics Bureau and Special Bureau.

Illegal drugs, including heroin and cannabis were also recovered during the operations.
