COLOMBO (News 1st) – Professor Ashoka Dangolla from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Peradeniya has confirmed that the treatment for the tusker Maharagama Seetha will continue. 

He stated that there has been no change in the tusker's health condition. Maharagama Seetha, the tusker, was injured when it was shot at the Mahiyanganaya Rajamaha Viharaya. 

This incident occurred while the tusker was tied with purple vines on the sacred grounds after participating in the recently held Randoli Perahara.
