SSCL tax will be added to the electricity bill; says LECO

COLOMBO(News 1st): The Lanka Electricity Company (Private) Ltd. (LECO) says the social security contribution levy or the SSCL tax will be added to the electricity bill of LECO customers.

LECO Associate Director Dr. Narendra de Silva said the social security contribution levy was earlier added to the electricity bill of the CEB.

He said it could not be added to the electricity bill of Lanka Electricity Company (Private) Ltd. due to a legal issue.

However the legal issue has been resolved.
