Parliamentary Select Committee requests suggestions from public on how to combat drug menace

Colombo (News 1st): The Parliamentary Select Committee to immediately control and eradicate the rapidly spreading drug menace has taken steps to obtain public opinions and suggestions regarding the issue.

Accordingly, suggestions and opinions can be submitted through the address,

The Secretary, The Select Committee of Parliament, Parliament of Sri Lanka, Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, or via e-mail: [email protected]  on or before the 12th October 2023.

The Parliament Select Committee was appointed by the Speaker on the 8th of June to investigate methods to be implemented in order to immediately control and eradicate the rapidly spreading drug menace in the country and submit observations and recommendations to the Parliament.

The committee is headed under the chairmanship of Tiran Alas, Minister of Public Security.

The select committee consists of 11 members.
