Two murders reported in Moratuwa and Mount Lavinia

COLOMBO (News 1st); Two people were murdered in Moratuwa and Mount Lavinia.

Sri Lanka Police said an employee of Sri Lanka Railways was stabbed to death at a house in the Mt. Lavinia Railway Housing Complex over a personal dispute.

The deceased was a 41-year-old resident of Biyagaha, Matara.

The suspect has been identified and investigations are underway to arrest him.

In a separate incident one person has been stabbed to death opposite a house in Lunawa, Moratuwa.

Sri Lanka Police said the 58-year-old man was killed after an argument escalated.

Sri Lanka Police said the suspect has been arrested.
