SLTB launches new help line for transport services

Colombo (News 1st): The Sri Lanka Transport Board says that an information center has been introduced to report the existing problems in the transport system.

Its Acting Business Manager Eranda Dilhan stated that public complaints, inquiries, and suggestions can be submitted by calling the number 1958.

Meanwhile, he also said, that the Sri Lanka Transport Board has taken steps to commence a transport service focusing on the tourism industry.

The official said, 17 double-decker buses are being developed to include luxury facilities including food and drink, and will be deployed around 4 circuits touring the Colombo town. 

He further added, in the future, these bus services will also be launched targetting prominent tourist locations including Arugambay, Bentota, Mirissa, Ella-Wellawaya, Polonnaruwa and Jaffna.
