Another SLPP MP decides to become Independent

COLOMBO (News 1st); Anuradhapura District MP of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Uddika Premarathna has decided to become an independent member in parliament. 

"I entered parliament in 2020 for a system change. I don't see that happening anytime soon. We must end the era of family politics in this country. Young people like us, from normal families, must provide leadership to this country," he told the house while announcing his decision to become independent.
