Aswesuma: State banks open on Wednesday to access funds

COLOMBO (News 1st) - State banks will remain open on Wednesday (30) for the public to access the Aswesuma welfare benefit funds.

All state banks across Sri Lanka will be opened from 8 am to 3 pm tomorrow, State Minister of Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya said.

800,000 families are eligible to obtain the Asweuma funds under the first phase.

The Treasury on Monday (28) released the funds requirement for the program to the banks.
