COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka is expecting to complete its debt restructuring program by September 2023, said State Finance Minister Shehan Semasinghe.
According to the Media Unit of the Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilization, and National Policies, the State Minister made this comment at the establishment of the new liaison office of CPA, Australia in Colombo.
The State Minister said that long-term reforms introduced by Sri Lanka are showing positive signs towards economic stabilization in the country.
He went on to note that the IMF program was key to send a message to international investors that Sri Lanka has launched a program to stabilize the economy, and has recommenced its economic activities.
