Amarakeethi Athukorala Murder: 39 people given bail

COLOMBO (News 1st); 39 people named as defendants in the murder of the late Parliamentarian Amarakeerthi Athukorala were released on bail on Friday (28).
The case was called up at the Gampaha Magistrate Court.
The late Sri Lankan lawmaker and his private bodyguard were killed in Nittambuwa while heading home from Colombo, during the unrest that broke out in the country on the 9th of May 2022 after the Galle Face protest site was attacked.
