COLOMBO (News 1st) - Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena has advised that Multi-Purpose Development Task Force officers should be given posts in their residential districts themselves.
Adding to this, State Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government Janaka Wakkumbura says that the Prime Minister has advised to carry out this process based on individual requirements.
Accordingly, the Multi-Purpose Development Task Force alongside the Ministry of Provincial Councils and Local Government has launched operations in this regard to accommodate all 32,000 Multi-Purpose Development Task Force officers islandwide.
Minister Wakkumbura added that out of the total, approximately 7000 officers have already been given permanent posts in Hospitals, Agricultural Service centers, and other related institutions.
The State Minister added that due to practical issues, the permanent posts would be issued initially following which changes would be made based on individual requirements.
