"We supported Ranil to stabilize the economy and establish democracy." - SLPP General Secretary

COLOMBO (News 1st) - General Secretary of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, Attorney Sagara Kariyawasm, says that Ranil Wickremesinghe was appointed as President after the Aragalaya, with the help of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna to stabilize the economy of the country and establish democracy.

He further revealed that the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna did not agree to support any other ventures. 

Kariyawasam made these remarks during the Dambadeniya Electorate meeting of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, where State Minister Dilum Amunugama, Member of Parliament Johnston Fernando, and others were present.
