Fast by Dengue Prevention Assistants continues

COLOMBO(News 1st): Today is the second consecutive day of the fast launched by the Dengue Prevention Assistants. 

The fast has been launched demanding that their jobs be made permanent and their allowances increased.

The Dengue Prevention Assistants say that this fast will be held in front of every Medical Health officer's office.

Newsfirst inquired from the Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella about this matter.

Minister Rambukwella says that by September the issues faced by the Dengue Prevention Assistants that solutions would be provided.

He also says that the Prime Minister had given him assurance in this regard.

Meanwhile, The Dengue Control Unit of the Ministry of Health says that day two of the Dengue Control Program will be carried out today.
