Chamodi Sandeepani's death to be investigated by a five member committee

COLOMBO(News 1st): A five-member committee has been appointed to investigate the questionable death of Chamodi Sandeepani at the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital.

Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella says that the five-member committee that comprises specialist doctors will commence an investigation tomorrow at the Peradeniya Teaching hospital.

He also says this investigation committee can establish and confirm it through a scientific investigation.

Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella says that 12 people who were administered the injection are currently receiving treatment at the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital.

21-year-old Chamodi Sandeepani was admitted to the Katapitiya Regional Hospital on the 10th of July due to diarrhea.

She was later then transferred to the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital afterward.

Relatives of  Chamodi Sandeepani say that she died due to the injection that she was administered.
