The newly-appointed Director General General Staff (DGGS) at the Army Headquarters, Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc assumed office on Thursday (08 June) during a brief religious ceremony.

Amid chanting of ‘Seth Pirith’ by the Maha Sangha, the new DGGS signed an official document, signifying the acceptance of the new appointment.

Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, prior to his new appointment served as the Adjutant General of the Army.

Senior Officers, Officers and Staff Officers of the General Staff Branch were present at the occasion.
