Orientation Programme for Youth Representatives of Sectoral Oversight Committees on Saturday (13)

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The orientation programme for youth representatives selected for the Sectoral Oversight Committees of the Parliament will be held in Colombo on Saturday (13) under the patronage of the President, Prime Minister and Speaker.

The programmme is organized by the Parliament of Sri Lanka with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The youth representatives were selected for the Sectoral Oversight Committees related to 17 subject areas established in the Parliament.

Nearly 550 youth representatives will attend the event.

The Sectoral Oversight Committees operate with the participation of MPs representing all political parties in Parliament.
