Heavy showers above 75 mm - Department of Meteorology

Colombo (News1st) - Department of Meteorology states predicts that there may be showers or thundershowers in the Western Province, Sabaragamuwa Province, North-western province,  Galle and Matara districts 

The Met department says that some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa provinces, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts may experience heavy rains of more than 75 mm.

Meanwhile, the Department of Meteorology predicts that the very severe cyclonic storm “Mocha” in the central Bay of Bengal sea area will continue to develop and very likely to move north-northeastwards and cross southeast Bangladesh and
north Myanmar coasts around noon of 14th May.
