Official talks scheduled for today between IMF staff team & Sri Lankan authorities

COLOMBO (News 1st): Officials talks are scheduled to take place today between the IMF staff team and Sri Lankan authorities.

A senior official of the Ministry of Finance said that officers from the Ministry of Finance and Central Bank will also participate in the talks.

Matters pertaining to the use of the loan given to Sri Lanka by the IMF and matters that were agreed upon prior are to be discussed.

The Senior Official of the Ministry of Finance said that the IMF staff team had met President Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday for a discussion.

The IMF staff team is scheduled to stay in Sri Lanka until the 23rd of May.
