Imran Khan tells court he fears for his life. Is remanded for 8 days

Colombo (News 1st) - Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who was arrested on Tuesday, told an Accountability Court in Islamabad where he was presented on Wednesday that he fears for his life. The court remanded him for eight days on the charges of corruption that the government has laid against him.

Violent protests have erupted across Pakistan over his arrest and over 1,000 people have been detained in a military crackdown.
