One person shot dead inside a house in Lunugamwehera

COLOMBO (News 1st) - One person was shot dead inside a house in Lunugamwehera.

The incident took place on Friday (28) night, Sri Lanka Police said.

The 37 year old victim had succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to the hospital.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the incident took place at a time when there was no power, and the murderer had immediately fled the scene.

Extensive investigations into the incident are underway, Police said.
