Defence Ministry dismisses claims on recording calls

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's Defence Ministry said that there is NO truth to the posts publishes on social media claiming that phone conversations, and social media interactions are being monitored and recorded.

In recent day, social media platforms such as Whatsapp, Facebook and Twitter were flooded with posts claiming that all normal telephone calls are being recorded, and that all Whatsapp, and Facebook calls are being monitored.

The Defence Ministry dismissed these claims, and noted that the posts are completely false.
